Available on: Netflix
When I saw Chelsea (Staub) Kane and Drew Seeley I was extremely excited because I have liked both actors for some time but really they aren’t the main characters. I mean, Chelsea’s character, Harper, is a main character but I don’t think that Drew Seeley should have been on the cover, it is quite misleading because you don’t see him until the latter half of the movie. Anyway, that isn’t the whole premise of the movie. The movie is about Harper who wants her daughter, Mirabella (Sara Paxton) to be the star but her daughter doesn’t want to be a dancer anymore, she wants to wed her Italian.
Harper (Jane Seymour) finds a vitality potion after blowing her knee out and changes into her younger self (Chelsea Kane). Harper’s mission is to stop the wedding of Mirabella and her beau but she ends up realizing after a huge mistake that they really belong together and after her ex-husband, Ryan (Tom Wopat), takes part of the vitality potion he changes to his younger self (Drew Seeley).
Anyway, for the music I thought it was going to be original music, and by no means am I saying you have to have original music, but it was a let down. I also would have enjoyed the movie if there had been no music. So I guess the musical numbers were just a plus if you wanted to see the stars sing.
Fun Fact: I watched one of Jane Seymour’s other works Somewhere in Time and her lover in that movie goes back in time to see her. So, it is almost like she is going back to her old self is like going back in time.
