I wanted to share what has kept my skin so hydrated and how it has also been gentle on my skin because I hardly breakout anymore. I have been using a Clarisonic for a couple of years and have loved it since I have gotten it because it has changed my skin so much. I used to use the sensitive or regular brush head but now I use the Daily Radiance brush heads because my acne is not as active as it used to be. After a shower, I will use my Clarisonic with a Clarisonic cleanser. Sometimes I will switch it up but I love the Clarisonic cleansers so much.
I will then put on the Tarte Mermaid Skin has been my saving grace. I bought his merely because of the name and after testing it out at Sephora I had thought about it for another month or so before taking the plunge on Black Friday last year. It costs $42.00 which can be a little steep for most people but I think that this is a keeper. I definitely want to hear alternatives that are more budget friendly in the comments if you have any!
I love the packaging of the Mermaid Skin bottle, it’s sleek and beautiful. I use about 2-3 pumps every morning and night right after I wash my face. I don’t let it sit for too long before I put on my Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion. This bottle costs $3.99 (I believe that is still the price) and I have gone through my bottle quickly. I plan to repurchase this and keep it in my routine. It definitely feels like a nice thick cream. I use about a quarter size amount which may seem like a lot but I have a lot of real estate on my forehead if you are picking up what I am putting down. This definitely dries nice and doesn’t leave your face sticky. I feel that this also doesn’t make my face as shiny as other moisturizers have in the past. The packaging reminds of me of an Olay product I used to use. I think that it is simple and nice but it isn’t travel sized which is unfortunate. I have found ways to work around that by putting the lotion in other containers but I wish there was a travel size.
Anyway, let me know what your winter skin must haves are in the comments! Talk soon!
