Belle is about an illegitimate daughter named Dido who has to learn her place in a world of black and whites. She has too much stature to eat with servants but now enough to eat with her own family. Dido grows up with her cousin, Elizabeth, who can roam around as she pleases and is quite flirty with suitors. Dido learns what it means to have family, feel love, and be her true self.

I will not be posting spoilers because I really want you all to see this movie, if you can. I think that it is inspiring, romantic, and is empowering to women who feel that they have no voice.

If you haven’t heard of this movie, worry not, there wasn’t a major release for it. I remember seeing commercials for it and wanted to see it but it was in this one theater and not close to me. I found it on a movie channel and enjoyed watching it.
