The Cheesecake Factory

It has been a while since I have done a restaurant review. I think that The Cheesecake Factory is a hyped up place that does have pretty good food, but we all know that the cheesecakes are where it is at. I went on my birthday in February and I wish I had remembered what I ordered because it was good. Granted, I usually remember what I order so I can’t say it was the best thing I ever had, but it was good.

Things you should know before going to The Cheesecake Factory:

The Cheesecake Factory is always busy, no matter what time of day it is. I had to wait about an hour before I could even be seated. There are no wait lists or reservations. The waiters are always busy so if you can grab them, keep them! Okay, don’t keep them but make sure you know exactly what you want, there are menus when you are waiting to be seated, it will make it easier on everyone once you know what you want.

STAFF: The waiter was nice but he was also really busy. I like that he was focused when he was at the table though. The staff is practically running around trying to accommodate large groups and everyone they are serving.

DECOR: The place has a mix of different eras in art, which is pretty cool. The lighting is pretty dim so it attempts to create an ambiance but the music and vast amounts of other attendees at the restaurant to enjoy their food was overwhelming. I had to ask my sister and mother, who sat right across from me, to repeat what they were saying multiple times. I wouldn’t suggest going there to have a romantic and quiet dinner there if that is what you are looking for.

FOOD: The food was good. I wouldn’t say it is amazing but it has a mix of great choices from steak to weight conscious dishes. I think that there is a great selection but it can also get pricey really fast, especially when you want cheesecake! I want to focus on the cheesecake because that is one of the main reasons I went there. I definitely remember the cheesecakes everyone got because they were that good!

All the pictures of the cheesecakes below are from The Cheesecake Factory.

Godiva® Chocolate Cheesecake

Me | Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake and Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake | The chocolate tower truffle cake has every chocolate lovers dream and it doesn’t disappoint. The cake is so tall and has layers of chocolate cake, chocolate truffle, and chocolate mousse. The Godiva cheesecake is absolutely amazing and sits in your mouth for a moment before the heat literally melts it away. The crust is amazing and has a nice texture that isn’t too hard. The Godiva piece of chocolate is just a perfect touch to an overload of chocolate that I always look for in desserts.

Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake

Brother | Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake | This is just a twist on a tradition cheesecake and it sure is delightful. I was too engulfed in my Godiva one to treat this at the same standard. However, if you don’t want something too heavy, this is perfect!

Mango Key Lime Cheesecake

Sister and Mom | Mango Key Lime Cheesecake | I can’t really review this because I don’t like key lime too much and not crazy about mango, but my mom and sister raved about this.

MENU: Like I said before, their menu is pricey and things add up. I remember that one slice of my chocolate tower truffle cake was $7. I think that my pasta was around $11. I would definitely expect to spend about $20-30 per person depending on what you get. I want to go every year, if not for the food, the cheesecake line is always there. I am not joking when the line for cheesecake can extend out the door almost as much as the line waiting for tables. I think that it took about 45 minutes when I just wanted some cheesecake.
