How to…Go to Sleep Faster

Does it take you at least thirty minutes to an hour to sleep? Me too. I have the hardest time sleeping! Although after my quick vacation to the beach in late December, I realized the solution.

Ocean Waves.

Okay, that might be a little dramatic but I am not kidding. When I was on vacation I took a spot by the balcony and fell asleep to the ocean waves. My sister helped me find an app on my iPhone (don’t fret because there are other options too). Since then I haven’t slept without my ocean waves and it really helps me fall asleep much faster than I normally would. If you do not have a tablet or phone that has apps with sounds you can buy a sound machine. I would definitely recommend getting a sound machine if you tend to become sleepy listening to them for long periods of time. You can purchase sound machines from Walmart to Bed Bath and Beyond, even buying a CD if you want to go “old school” and playing it while you sleep.

Watch Television or Read a Book.

Watching television may or may not be the best choice if you get drowsy and fall asleep while having the television run or have your iPad on all night. But, if it helps you to watch a show before you sleep, go for it! I love to read so I am going to try to get into bed earlier and read a book for about an hour before falling to sleep since it would be nice to get back into a routine.

There you go! Two/three ways for you to be able to fall asleep. I hope this helps!

Let me know down below what you do to help you go to sleep faster.
